Music as a gateway to self-expression.
Ever since I was a child, music has been a tool for self-expression for me. Moving to the U.S. right after graduating from elementary school in Japan, I had such a hard time adjusting to the new environment and did not know where I belonged. That's when music became my tool for expressing who I am. For me, expressing my feelings and thoughts through singing and playing the piano was a communication tool, much stronger and more effective than words.
Music has existed since before language was born. It is a universal language that transcends race, age, and gender. I feel that it is something that everyone can learn throughout their lives. Through STUDIO MOTIF, I hope to deliver the value of music as a tool for self-expression to as many people as possible.

Testimonials.
In the vocal lessons I have taken in the past, most of the content seemed to be sensory or image training. However, Ms. Yuki is a graduate of the Berklee College of Music, so she teaches us in earnest about English pronunciation, breathing, and other theoretical content, as well as the more subtle aspects of expression. I felt that professionals are very different from the rest. I often talk about my favorite music and singing techniques before and after the lesson. He is more like a good buddy than a teacher! (Tokyo, 20s, male)
I love singing but I didn't know what to work on... I took a trial lesson in such a state. I feel that the singing knowledge and skills I acquired in the lessons are a lifelong asset that I can use in the future, such as karaoke and singing. Also, the classroom is located in a quiet residential area about a 10-minute walk from Shibuya station, but it is close to my workplace and easy to get to, so I can easily drop by on my way home from work. Even though it is a home, it is spacious and open enough to accommodate the Steinway piano I use for lessons, so I feel relaxed anytime I come. (Tokyo, 20s female)
I thought that they have made a lot of efforts to provide a lot of musical instruments for little children, such as percussion instruments and xylophones, so that even my daughter, who gets bored with her lessons and gets out of the piano chair, can enjoy the music. Also, they have a family waiting room with lots of toys and picture books for children, so they can accommodate sisters taking lessons together. (Tokyo, 40s, male)
